FINANCIAL

Q: What is a Type C CCRC (Continuing Care Retirement community)?

A: A Type C CCRC, (also called a fee-for-service) is a continuing care retirement community (CCRC), which means residents purchase their condominium home, and receive priority access to the care center. Costs for the care center are charged at then current market rates.

Q: What is the membership fee and monthly member service fee?

A: The membership fee is a one-time fee that covers community areas provided at TidePointe, and also gives TidePointe residents priority access to the Broad Creek Care Center, and Sea Pines resort. Should you move in with a second person, they will also pay a smaller membership fee. Additionally, there is also a recurring monthly service fee* that covers your day-to-day costs like dining, and concierge services.

Q: How do I qualify to be a resident of TidePointe?

A: There are a number of steps to becoming a resident at TidePointe, but the first step is to visit our community and take a tour. You will work closely with our sales team to discuss your specific needs and questions about our community. In order to become a member, you will also have to medically and financially qualify.

Q: What levels of care are offered at TidePointe, a Vi community?

A: We provide short- and long-term care at the Broad Creek Care Center. Assisted living, and skilled nursing/rehabilitation care are available.

Q: How many apartments and floor plans are available at your community?

A: We offer 19 unique home plans at our community.

Q: Will I be able to update my home as I choose?

A: TidePointe residents may, pending approval from the community, upgrade their own homes, working with their own licensed and insured designers, architects, and builders.

Q: Are there other Vi communities?

A: Yes, There are 10 communities located throughout the continental United States.

Q: Are pets allowed at your community?

A: Yes, pets (under 30 pounds) such as cats, dogs, birds, hamsters and gerbils are permitted. Ask our sales team about specific policies related to pet ownership at Vi.

Q: How do I get in touch with my Sales Counselor?

A: Contact our Sales offices at 888.481.0871 and ask to speak with your Sales Counselor directly. You can also email the sales office at tidepointe@viliving.com and we will forward your email to the appropriate person.

Q: Is there a wait list for your community?

A: Currently, there is a wait list for some of our more popular homes. However, we are still accepting new residents for a number of homes that are available. 
* Monthly service fees are typically set at the beginning of each calendar year and do increase over time. Ask our Sales Team for a history of monthly fee increases.
